Supra'TRON, The ultimate TRON

The Supra'TRON has the same bloodline than our other TRON's: An oversized magnet and reasonnable DC coils for enhanced presence.

The Supra'Tron is built around a Ceramic magnet that provides a sharp and powerful sound with excellent bass tracking. It is a very distinctive bridge pickup that combines medium to high output, enhanced presence, clarity and an amazing dynamics. Up to now, the combinaision of  these qualities have been available only on active pickups, but things have changed. All are in the Supra'TRON, plus one : the feeling!

The ToD note: As long as you like a good dose of highs in your tone, this is a killer pickup with a extrem polyvalence, perfect for any style of metal, rock, blues. It delivers also very nice clean sounds when the volume is rolled back (thank low DC!).

BIG LOCO, Huge magnet = Huge output

The Big Loco is our most powerful pickup. Designed on the base of a simple equation: "Huge magnet = Huge output". Big Loco is probably the standard sized humbucker that has the biggest magnet ever. Combined with high DC coils, this is a monster... Focused lows, clear mids and higs. It provides a cascade of harmonics in an output level that will cranck even your Grand Pa's amp.

The Tod note: In a certain way, the size of the magnet in a pickup can be compared to the cubic of your engine. If we go one step ahead, considering that a classic humbucker is equivalent to a 4 in line 1.6L engine, the Big Loco is at least a V8 6.4Liter. Now you understand why we call it "BIG". It is the American V8 of the guitar universe... And as a V8, it growls low, very low!

X58, X'treme PaF

The X58 is a traditionnal PaF style humbucker that is powered with an oversized Alnico 5 magnet and high DC coils. Perfect in bridge position, it provides an organic metal sound that can have a very nice bluesy feeling despite its extreme power. X58 is accurate with an excellent dynamics perfect for modern or classic metal.

The Tod note: This pickup is made as a bridge pickup, a calibrated set is available with a lower DC neck pickup to keep clarity and balanced output. Ceramic version of these pickups sound just amazing too...
