G58, Recreate the history

(Demo of a 7K neck G58, Thank you Greg for the samples)
For most of us, the late 50’ vintage PaFs are the most desirable and best sounding humbuckers ever built. The ToD G58 has been developed based on specifications collected from vintage 58’ Les Paul. They are wound in standard around 7,8K with a long slightly degaussed Alnico II magnet and hand guided machine like asymmetrical coils.

The ToD Note: You are on ToD Custom pickups, and here the Client makes the history! You can choose to stick with the historic specifications and get the singing mids, soft lows and rich overtones (choose your G58 unpotted with Alnico II bar magnet and a raw nickel cover), or go for some custom adjustments through the ToD Custom Shop (custom voicing, Al IV, V, VIII or ceramic for a rawer tone, wax potting, 4 conductors output wire, gold cover, gold screw and slugs)… An uncovered version is available too. Among all the G58's we have built, the version powered by a roughcast Alnico V magnet is our favorite!

TRON, Drive In's, Chromes, Rockabilly and Milkshakes

(TRON in neck position on an original Les Paul Custom '76)
The Tron is based on the specifications of the vintage Gretsch filter'trons adapted to fit the standard humbucker format. It is voiced like its models: woody bass, millow mids and plenty of bell ringing highs. With its low DC coil and over-sized Alnico V magnet, this low output humbucker (output similar to vintage single coils) reacts perfectly to the tone knob to deliver rockabilly and jazz tones. It is a great pop/rock and country pickup too.

The ToD Note: The TRON is at the humbuckers world what the Tele bridge pickup is at the single coils world. Even if TRON and TB6 sound both their own way, you can find some similarities in the pickup reaction to the pick attack and the voicing. Also, look at this chromes, shining like an old chevy! It is available with nickel, chrome or gold open top cover. An open coil version is possible too.
