- Single coils

Half Loco, Rail true single coil

The Half Loco (HLO) is a medium output true single coil. Featuring an drastic design, its coil is wound to a generous DC around a ceramic core. Despite its appearance, it is in fact a very versatile pickup with plenty of high and dynamics. It crunches really nicely and makes all the notes of the chords audible even with a high gain setting. For your rhythmic lines, it is a sharp pickup with cutting highs and a good dose of tight basses thanks to its baseplate

ToD's note: If you are a super strat aficionados and want to go for a modern pickup set, the Half Loco makes a very good combination with a Loco in the bridge position. A set of Half Loco with base plate only on the bridge pickup will give a really nice strat modern tone with plenty of versatility. Attention: This pickup does not fit into a strat cover.

H90, humbucker format P90

P90 are amazing pickups. If you are looking for that typical P90 personnality for a guitar which is not routed for standard P90 mount, our H90 is the solution. Into a standard humbucker format, it is the same that our G90. Moderate output great for blues, rock. It reacts perfectly to the volume knob to create beautiful clean sounds.

The ToD note: Our H90 uses Alnico 4 magnets. A H90 using mixed Alnico 2&5 or a jazz version similar to the J90 are possible too, as well as variants based on your specs.

TeleStrat, put a tele in your guitar!

Imagine that's your birthday, you remember that nice tele in the guitar shop. Your parents give you a nice package which has that very distinctive shape. After an hard fight to see the "F..." logo, you open the box and... That's a strat... Very nice instrument, but... you wanted a TELE!
Don't worry, we have the answer, the TS (B-bridge or N-neck) are strat format pickups that are designed on the base of the 50' tele bridge and neck pickups specifications.

The ToD note: Except for the cover of the neck pickup, every is here, long Alnico V magnets, zinc plated baseplate, same coil characteristics... The bridge (sample 1)will really bring the tele twang in your guitar and the neck (sample 2) will provide that silky and sweet sound.

J90, a jazzy P-90

(The picture shows a dogear version without cover)
The J90 is a variation of our G90. It has a lower DC heavy formvar coil that enhances the response in the high mids and highs and provides a nice silky touch. With a slightly lower output than the G90, he drives less the amp and has an improved dynamic and touch sensitivity. To get that typically sweet jazzy sound, degaussed Alnico II long magnets are used.

The ToD note: At the half way between a stratish and a P90 sound, that pickup is just perfect for a semi-hollow instrument and is among the permanently installed pickups on my own guitar...

StraTele, put a strat in your tele!

Here is the opposite process. the ST are strat pickup in a telecaster format. They can be based on our S50 or S60 models or your own specs.

The ToD note: Our neck version (STN) is made without cover to produce the closest stratish sound. If you want to keep the look of your instrument, a neck version with cover is possible, we recommend to go for the S50 specs in that case.

The 7 strings versions

If you are looking for a 7 strings single coil, we have it too. 7 strings versions of the S50, S60, TN5 (without cover) and TN6 (without cover) are available in standard. Check their descriptions on the Vintage series single coil page.

The ToD note: Powered by Alnico V magnets the 7 strings versions keep a perfect tracking of the B string. For clearly lower tuning (F# to A), go for a bit of overwinding. If you went for a 7 strings guitar, it is probably because you don't like so much the "standard" stuff. Me too, just ask for your own specs in the Custom Shop.
